Our top tips to ensure your new leather Stephen Einhorn pieces last as long as possible
We recommend that you avoid wearing your leather jewellery in the shower or whilst swimming as contact with water, perfumes, chemicals and skin/hair oils can alter the colour of the leather and this may result in colour transference. You may wish to avoid wearing the leather against fragile or light coloured clothing as colour transfer can occasionally happen.
You may notice some slight imperfections and variation in tones to your leather however this is to be expected with a natural product and simply adds charm and uniqueness to your piece.
Can I get my leather jewellery wet?
Excessive moisture such as perspiration can also affect your jewellery so please take care when wearing your jewellery and be sure to remove it when exercising or when you are in a hot climate. Water (or any moisture) can damage and weaken your jewellery. You should not get your leather jewellery wet. You should remove your leather jewellery before bathing or swimming.
Does leather jewellery ever wear out?
The best way to think about your leather jewellery is this: look on this leather purchase in the same way that you would look on the purchase of an expensive watch with a leather strap. Occasionally you have to replace your strap through wear and tear. This will be the same for your leather design. Occasionally the leather may need to be repaired or replaced. Should I get my leather jewellery checked regularly?
We encourage you to bring your leather jewellery back to us every year for professional servicing. Our Stephen Einhorn jewellers will take time and care to inspect your jewellery in order to determine the service that needs to be provided. If it is necessary you will receive an estimate.
